Penny Update

Since posting the tip to put pennies in the stay wet palette, I have been really paying attention to the smell.  My palette smells better than it ever has!  I can’t believe it!

As I explained in previous posts, I only use distilled water to dampen my sponge beneath my palette paper in my stay wet palette.  We have incredibly hard water and I know the smell can become an issue.  In spite of the distilled water my stay wet palettes still became rank after a few days.  Now I have a palette that smells better than when I first set it up a days ago.

Brilliant!

Another recommendation I have is this:  when watercolor painting, buy the tubes of color and squirt them into a palette.  Let them dry and you will not waste a drop of color.  Have I done a review of palettes?  Next post…
